Shelby Torrence, LADC/MH

Shelby Torrence is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Mental Health Counselor (LADCC/MH). Her professional passion lies in supporting survivors of various forms of violence. She is dedicated to raising awareness among service providers about the crucial intersection of

domestic violence and substance use. Her goal is to integrate domestic violence and substance use services to offer a holistic approach to client healing.

Shelby has years of experience working with victims of domestic violence and human trafficking as well as individuals and families suffering from Substance Use Disorder in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She finds immense fulfillment in her work, which allows her to serve vulnerable populations while providing education, building skills, and offering essential resources. She is deeply committed to this field and couldn’t imagine pursuing any other career.

Outside of her professional life, Shelby cherishes spending time with her family, which includes her husband, two children, and their American Bully dog.
