Assessment is the process of identifying strengths and liabilities and determining which services are most appropriate. It is the first step in the therapeutic process and occurs throughout the therapeutic process as things change. An assessment can have a broad, general scope or can be focused on a specific concern. Assessment tells us where you are so we can figure out where to go next.
This type of assessment will help determine the presence and extent of a drug or alcohol problem as well as the appropriate type of treatment if a drug or alcohol problem is identified. This is the first step for someone seeking help with drug or alcohol use. Some people find this assessment useful when they are dealing with legal, employment, or family/custody issues that involve substance abuse or accusations of substance abuse.
This is the assessment that is required for anyone who has lost their driver’s license due to a driving related alcohol or drug offense (DUI, APC, possession, etc.). This is the first step in the process to get the red stamp that is required for driver’s license reinstatement.
The is the assessment that is required by the Department of Transportation for employees who have failed an alcohol or drug test. It is a specialized assessment that meets DOT requirements.

What’s keeping you from being that person?

Individual therapy is all about you and your evolution. This is you and your therapist meeting together with no one else in the room, no cell phones going off, no music or video playing in the background. During this time together, the only agenda is to help you become the person you want to be. Individual therapy sessions are where the most laser-focused work happens.
Many new clients find individual therapy to be the least intimidating, and most rewarding, way to connect. We can cover a wide variety of topics, getting down to the bottom of what is hindering your personal evolution. During individual therapy, we may suggest other services such as couples therapy or group therapy depending on your personal needs.
Couples therapy is two individuals evolving into an unstoppable team. It is you and your partner getting to know each other inside and out, identifying who and where you want to be together, and working together to reach that goal. The end goal of couples therapy is two people who genuinely want to be together and who make each other better than they could ever be alone.
Contrary to popular belief, couples therapy is not just for couples in crisis! During couples therapy, we can work towards resolution in challenging seasons in your relationship or simply provide you with tools for more effective communication. Through couples counseling, we will help you and your partner evolve both as individuals and as a couple.
Group therapy is the beauty of community. It provides you with the opportunity to sit in a circle with other people who are trying to evolve just like you are. During group therapy, individuals share their strengths and weaknesses, victories and defeats. Group therapy provides an immediate network of support that can help you reach your true potential.
Many individuals believe that they are too shy or too anxious to interact in a group setting. While it can certainly be an unfamiliar experience, these uncertain feelings quickly disseminate. Whether you choose to participate during your first meeting or simply listen to the experiences of others, you are sure to learn and grow during our time together. As one of the best forms of social interaction, group therapy is an incredible tool for personal growth and evolution.
Evolution Recovery is a therapy group that meets every Wednesday from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. This group focuses on recovery from both alcohol and drug abuse/addiction. During our time together, we cover a variety of issues related to substance use and recovery.

Anyone in recovery or desiring recovery from a drug or alcohol problem is welcome to participate.
Unfortunately, children of all ages experience trauma and difficult situations. Through children’s therapy, we are able to work with your child in age-appropriate ways, helping them to work through the situations they have experienced. Providing your child with access to this critical tool for growth will help them as they evolve into adulthood.
Just like adults, every child processes things differently. Because of this, there is no one-size-fits-all solution for children’s therapy. We will work to better understand your child using a variety of therapy approaches to best suit their age, personality, and stage of development. Whether your child has experienced hardship or they are simply looking for a way to sort through the complexities of growing older, children’s therapy can be one of the greatest gifts they are given.
