The culture around cannabis has changed dramatically within the last decade. People have become comfortable with using it and people want to know, is it safe to use in pregnancy? Is it better or worse than using an antidepressant or narcotic medication for pain? In this session, we will review cases of child neglect, abuse, and endangerment that involve marijuana as well as medical cases in which the mother’s use of marijuana is considered harm reduction. Finally, we will end with a literature review of peer-reviewed research on the subject matter.
