In Harm Reduction 101 we will discuss basic strategies aimed at minimizing the negative consequences associated with substance use. Being that abstinence may not be immediately achievable for everyone, alternative approaches are needed to promote health and safety for all. We will briefly delve into some of the successes, controversies, and barriers of harm reduction as well as future directions and opportunities.
