Laugh and Learn: Exploring Counseling Ethics with a Smile

In this CEU event, we will embark on a journey through the often serious world of counseling ethics, sprinkled with a healthy dose of humor. After a brief introduction in ethical constructs, we will explore values in counseling such as autonomy, nonmaleficence, beneficence, justice, fidelity, and veracity. Next, we will dive headfirst into the wacky world of ethical dilemmas and moral quandaries. Ethical decision-making then takes center stage as we engage in fun exercises and comedic activities to tackle challenging scenarios. In the final act, the spotlight is on self-care through laughter, the best medicine.

• Explore the six values of counseling
• Resolve ethical quandaries and moral dilemmas
• Practice ethical decision-making
• Create a self-care plan of laughter
